Tiramisu Cake

This recipe for tiramisu cake takes a classic tiramisu and levels it up, turning it into a full and complete dessert fit for royalty!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package moist white cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
  • 1/2 cup Espresso Coffee (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 4.5 cups mascarpone cheese (full fat)
  • 2.5 cups confectioners' sugar (measured sifted not packed)
  • 1/2 cup espresso coffee (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 1.5 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted for top of cake)

  • 2 tablespoons shaved chocolate curls on top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cake pan.
  • Combine the white cake mix, water, egg whites, and oil in a bowl, mixing until smooth.
  • Add instant coffee powder into the batter and mix well.
  • Bake for 28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  • Whip the cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, blend mascarpone cheese and sifted confectioners' sugar.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  • Soak each cake layer with espresso before layering with the mascarpone mixture.
  • Dust with cocoa powder and top with chocolate curls before serving.
