Ingredients
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients in the mug. Stir until smooth.
3. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
4. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until the cake has risen and is set in the middle (microwave times may vary).
5. Allow to cool for a minute before enjoying!
Notes
This cake is best enjoyed fresh out of the microwave. You can top it with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat!
