8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice (e.g., fettuccine, penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are browned and tender.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version or add spinach for extra greens. Adjust seasoning as per your preference.
