Ingredients
- 8 oz medium pasta shells
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth (or use chicken broth as a substitute)
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook pasta shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Remove excess fat.
3️⃣ Stir in onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
4️⃣ Add paprika and Italian seasoning, stirring well.
5️⃣ Sprinkle in flour, stirring until lightly browned.
6️⃣ Gradually whisk in beef broth and tomato sauce. Let simmer until thickened.
7️⃣ Reduce heat, add cooked pasta, heavy cream, and cheddar cheese. Stir until creamy and combined.
8️⃣ Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.
Notes
- Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- For extra veggies, add diced bell peppers or spinach while cooking.
